The contracts for the REV were already signed some months ago, and the project is now taking concrete form for Wolz Nautic. There have already been several reports on this exceptional project in the yacht industry media, and the project team and owners are now ramping up the communication regarding the REV.
The project can certainly be described as a lighthouse project in all respects. With account being taken of various sustainability issues, the steel structure of the 182-metre long boat is currently being built in Romania, on completion of which the REV will then be relocated to Norway for further outfitting. Among other things, there will be a large area on the vessel for research teams and scientists, as the yacht's owner attaches great importance to the exploration and protection of the oceans. Highly innovative and sustainable products will be used in the construction of this yacht in the interests of making a positive contribution in terms of sustainability in yacht construction.
Based in Germany's Franconia region, yacht flooring and decking specialist Wolz Nautic won the order for the laying of a deck comprised of double-modified wood over an area of approx. 2815 sqm as well as for the approx. 876 linear meters of handrails on the yacht.
More information about this project will follow.
