At the same time as the annual yachting festival was taking place in Cannes, teak deck specialist Wolz Nautic, together with its partner KREATIVE and representatives of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, had the opportunity of an exclusive visit to one of the most exciting sites in the principality at that time.
“Le Sporting d’hiver” - in the absolute prime location beside the Hôtel de Paris and the Casino in Monte Carlo - is currently being completely renovated and a complex with seven buildings with the most exclusive residential and commercial space, “One Monte-Carlo” is under construction.
Wolz Nautic from Gaukönigshofen in northern Bavaria, is manufacturing and delivering 76 balconies made of wood resembling yacht decking and 6 exclusive roof terraces from the same material for this project. The on-site installation is done by Wolz Nautic’s long-standing partner "KREATIVE" which is based in the south of France.
The main focus in this project was on the use of sustainable materials and thus the upper layer is made from certified Fineline teak amongst other materials and the intermediate layer uses sustainable cork solution.
Together with three representatives of the Prince Albert II Foundation, a small team from Wolz Nautic and KREATIVE were able to assess the current status of the construction site for themselves. After a strenuous climb up the steel staircase made from scaffolding, the delegation was rewarded with a breath-taking view of the Prince’s Palace, the harbour, Monaco Bay and the Casino. All the visitors were very impressed.
The joint visit with representatives of the Prince Albert II Foundation was another milestone in intensifying the collaboration which commenced in 2017.
